Gotcha: Overuse of Dark/Large Shadows

The "Gotcha" here is that very dark or large shadows can make the UI look heavy or cluttered. Compare the two cards below.

User Profile (Standard Shadow)

User avatar

This card uses `shadow-md`, a commonly recommended shadow size. It provides depth without being overpowering.

Featured Item (Heavy Shadow)

Item image

This card uses `shadow-2xl`. Notice how much heavier it feels compared to `shadow-md`. Overusing such large shadows can lead to a cluttered interface.

Consideration:

While larger shadows (`shadow-lg`, `shadow-xl`, `shadow-2xl`) have their place for emphasis (e.g., modals, focused elements), using them ubiquitously for all cards can make the UI feel heavy. Stick to subtler shadows like `shadow-sm` or `shadow-md` for general card elements unless a stronger shadow serves a specific design purpose.
