Hover Effects & The "Gotcha": Transitions

Addressing the "Jarring" Effect

Without transitions, hover effects can feel abrupt. Adding `transition` classes provides a smoother user experience.

Button 1: No transition (jarring effect)

Button 2: With `transition-colors duration-300` (smooth effect)

A Note on Overdoing Effects

While transitions are good, be mindful not to overdo hover effects. Too many changes or overly complex animations can be distracting rather than helpful. Keep them purposeful and subtle.

For example, a button that dramatically changes size, color, font, and rotates on hover might be too much. A simple color change or shadow enhancement is often sufficient.
